School News & Announcements

June 9th and 10th have been structured, across the district, as “By Appointment: Virtual Teacher/Student Meeting” days. Since students have been given opportunities to demonstrate mastery in their classes in many different ways since mid-March, many of those ways do not require the same level of "attendance" at the end of the year that our more traditional calendar might require. The KMMS calendar on these final days of the year will combine advisory group discussions, celebrations, as well as targeted, scheduled times for our teachers to work with students who need more time to finish key outcomes of their middle school year.

  • June 8:

    • 8:00 Staff meetings, professional development

    • Noon - 3:00: By appointment. Connections with students and parent/guardians with work to complete, preparing detailed plans for June 9, 10 Appointments will be set up by our teachers

  • June 9:

    • 7:30: By appointment. Small group and 1:1 instruction, parent meetings, etc.

    • 9:00: All students by Advisory or House class. Discussion and closure, followed by house connections and celebrations. Attendance will be taken.
Our 8th grade completion video will be released at this time.

    • 11:00 - 3:00 By appointment. Small group and 1:1 instruction, parent meetings, etc.

  • June 10:

    • 7:30: By appointment. Small group and 1:1 instruction, parent meetings, etc.

    • 9:00: All students by Advisory. Discussion and closure, followed by house connections and celebrations. Attendance will be taken.

    • 11:00 - 3:00 By appointment. Small group and 1:1 instruction, parent meetings, etc.

    • 8th graders who have all of their work completed do not need to report on June 10th.

We are unable to communicate your house placement (Create, Navigate, Discover) this spring as originally intended. We need extra time for planning due to the onset of the virus and to changes in open enrollment deadlines. Thank you for your understanding and patience. We will let you know your schedule, including house placement, in August.

Our final KMMS PTO/Parent meeting will be held via Google Meet next week - won’t you join us? Thursday, May 28th, at both 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., we have invited current 5th grade families to officially join the KMMS parent community. We will also discuss ways for parents to get involved in the life of our school. Principal Comiskey will also share some of the feedback provided from families and students through our spring surveys.

If you are interested in attending either meeting, please email our Administrative Assistant Mary Markham at Mary will email you a meeting link on the 28th.

If you are having issues with the hardware of your student’s district issued Chromebook, (questions regarding classroom instruction should be directed to respective teachers) please send an email using your student email account to with the following information:

  • Student name

  • KM# of the district device (found on the inventory tag on the bottom of the device, example: KM CPU XXXXX)

  • Description of the problem (for example, Chromebook won't start up, won't connect to WiFi, keyboard problems, etc.)

  • Phone number or email address for KM's tech support specialist to use for a follow-up contact

With limited staff, we will do our best to quickly schedule appointments with families and remedy any issues that may arise. If needed, the tech support specialist will arrange for a loaner device and set a time for exchanging the devices.

If you are unable to send an email from your student's account, issues can also be called in to voicemail at 262-968-6338. Response time will be quicker using email as a support ticket will be automatically created by the email.

To keep our families and staff safe during the spread of COVID-19, we are continuing to implement the following during meal-pickup:

  1. When picking up meals, please hold up a sign to the passenger side (facing the school) indicating the following information:

    1. Last Name

    2. Number of Students

    3. Hot or Cold

  2. Meals will be delivered to the curb outside the vehicle. We ask someone in the vehicle to please step out of the vehicle and pick up their meal(s) from the curb.

  3. To help our Nutrition Services staff prepare accurate meal counts, we ask families to complete a new meal survey each week.

Here is the survey link for the week of April 20.

(There will be daily hot meal pick-up Monday, April 20th - Friday, April 24th, and cold meal pick-up will be Monday ONLY (5 meals cover Mon-Fri)).

  1. If you are unable to make the 11:30am - 1:00pm pick-up time, please contact our Food Service Department.

Thank you for your patience and continued support for our Food Service program during these unprecedented times. Stay safe and be #KMKind to everyone!
