Saint - Wrote the 95 theses which brought people away from the Church which decreased the Churches power
Saint - He stood up against the Church
Saint - He used the Bible to prove himself right
Sinner - Martin Luther defied and questioned the Pope and the Church
Martin Luther was a sinner because he questioned the Pope and the Church of what they were doing. He said things like selling indulgences was bad and that only God had the power to forgive sins. The Pope was the highest authority in the Catholic religion, but a common priest was questioning him. In this image the current Pope is being questioned by a common person. The Pope back then was being questioned by Martin Luther a common priest.
Sinner - He decreased the power of the Catholic Church
