Attendance
Just a reminder any student who misses 10 periods in one class per semester will have to make up that time. Parents will receive a letter in the mail when a student reaches 6 absences in a class. A phone call home when 10 abscences are reached to schedule Friday school. Keep an eye on your students absences. Sporting events do not count towards these absences.
We will be having Friday School on Friday, 12/7/18, for those students who need to make up seat time.

Meds/Flu Shot
MEDS
This is a friendly reminder that no medication is allowed at school without a medication authorization form filled out by a medical provider. The medication needs to be in its original container with the student's name on it and stay in the nurse's office. This includes any over the counter medication, as well as prescription. The medication authorization form can be found on the Nurse's Page on the District website: https://www.mancosre6.edu/Domain/31
FLU SHOT
It is not required, but highly recommended. The CDC recommends getting the flu vaccine before the end of October. Flu vaccines are available at your pharmacy and doctor’s office. Most insurances will cover the cost of the vaccine.
If your child has Health First Colorado (Medicaid), is uninsured, underinsured, or Native American, your child could be eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, which provides vaccines at no cost. You can reach out to the Montezuma County Public Health Department: 106 W. North Street in Cortez, (970) 565-3056. Please call before you go, as they are available by appointment only (usually Mondays).
