Dude be Nice
Our annual YLMS Dude, Be Nice Program addresses life as a middle school student and creates a positive school climate where everyone belongs. Through a series of activities, stories, and interactions, our workshops will provide YLMS 7th graders with new perspectives on how school life can be positive while simultaneously promoting ways for students to communicate with each other in a supportive environment.
Thank you to all our YLMS families for supporting our book fair. Our school continues to have the highest library book circulation in the district. Our students are readers! Thank you to all our volunteers for making it a success.
Starting in December Yorba Linda Middle School will begin Saturday Academy. This program is designed for students to get additional help on their school work with credentialed teachers and peer and high school tutors. Any student with one or more F on their report card will be asked to sign up for one of two days in December. This opportunity will also be for any student who is looking to get additional help on their school work. I will run from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and students are expected to remain for the entire duration. Additional information will be sent home in the coming weeks.
Lost and Found
Our lost and found box is overflowing (see photo below) along with lots of water bottles and lunch boxes. Please have your student come to the office to retrieve their lost items. We will be donating everything not claimed to a local charity upon return from the Thanksgiving break
Reminder to parents
We don't call students to the office to retrieve forgotten items (homework, clothing, lunch etc). Students can check the tub outside the health office to see if something was dropped off.
