All Saints Episcopal School - Dec. 17, 2012

Our entire community was blessed with the Lower School Christmas Pageant last Tuesday night. We are grateful for the support of our parents and the incredible effort put forth by our 1st-5th grade students, Mrs. Taylor, and the faculty and staff! We are thankful for their gift of music and of their re-telling of the Christmas story! Enjoy the Smilebox below of scenes from the classrooms before the pageant.

Wednesday, December 19th is our final Holy Communion for 2012 for 1st-8th grade. All are welcome to join us for this joyful Christmas gathering around the Lord's table. A special collection will be taken during the offertory designated for the Beaumont Enterprise "E.J. Empty Stocking Fund." Field trip uniform required for 1st-8th grade students.

The 8th grade "U.S. Military History" class has discovered a wonderful iPad tool to enhance their latest project. Students did a comparison of General Sun Tzu's ancient Chinese war principles with U.S. military principles. Videos and an assortment of website research were attached to the program Wallwisher, which automatically loads the input onto a Q.R. Code. Students then made posters that displayed their Q.R. Code and hung them in the Middle School hallway. Now all of the Middle School students and teachers can use their iPads to read the codes and view each presentation created. Kudos to Mr. Thornton and his 8th graders for utilizing technology that not only benefits the class, but everyone else as well!
