In the fist part of the story there is a scene in which the daughter sees herself in the mirror. What does she see? What thematic significance could this scene have? How does it relate to the title?

At first she sees an ordinary, sad, ugly girl in the mirror. then she sees the prodigy side of her which was angry and powerful. The thematic significance in this scene is that she sees two people in the mirror; the person she is and the person her and her mom wants her to be.
