The activity's that the Ojibwe did in the fall was travled to near by ponds lakes and marshes also they harvested rice from the lake near their tribe camp while the adults harvested the wild rice from the lake some of the kids went into the forest to pick wild barries an then dried those barries back at their tribe village. After they harvested the wild rice they did the time consuming project of preparing the rice and barries for the winter,

The procces of preparing and harvesting wild rice is a very time consuming project first they have to have the connoes, knocking sticks, pushing paddle and two people one to push the connoe with the pushing paddle and a knocker with the knocking sticks he can softley hit the wild rice crop and the rice gets knocked of into the connoe
