OK2SAY Program
Safety and Security is top priority for Gaylord Community Schools and we wanted to provide a link for the state wide OK2SAY program. OK2SAY is the student safety program which allows students to confidentially report tips on potential harm or criminal activities directed at students, school employees, and schools. It uses a comprehensive communication system to facilitate tip sharing among students, parents, school personnel, community mental health service programs, and law enforcement officials about harmful behaviors that threaten to disrupt the learning environment.
TEACHER REQUEST FOR 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Our GIS Teacher Request link is officially open for the 2023-24 school year.
Please note:
We cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill your request, but we will consider all requests. Placements will be based on our students’ needs, class size, and creating balanced classes. Additionally, there is always the possibility that teachers will not stay in the same positions or teaching teams from year to year. Please do not put the same teacher for each choice.
7th Grade Immunization Update
7th grade students must show proof of having had the required childhood immunizations for Michigan school settings by the first day of school. Parents wishing to waive immunizations for religious or philosophical reasons must make an appointment at the local health department for waiver education. Students with true medical contraindications to immunizations must see their primary car provider to receive a Medical Contraindication Waiver Form.
