JV black ended their season with a perfect 18-0 record.
This past Thursday the Panthers defeated the Southside Cardinals 13-2. Kyrstan Stivors went 4-4 at the plate with 2 singles, a double and a homerun. Ashley DeCock got the win on the mound for the Panthers.
With the win over Southside the Panthers concluded the Regular district season with a 15-1 record, achieving co-district Champions with Southwest high school. The Panthers will have a play-off game for the 1st place seed vs Southwest Today (Monday) at 7pm at SAISD Sports Complex Field 1.
Baseball
The JV Panthers hosted the Mavericks from CC Winn High School. Isaiah Clements pitched very well for the Panthers. He pitched 4 innings keeping the ball game close, and giving the Panthers a chance to win the game. Jared LaQue, Nathan Weiblen, and Jeremy Carrion each had RBI’s. The Mavericks were able to match the Panthers play during the game, as neither team committed an error. The end result was an 8 to 8 tie.
The Varsity Baseball team lost a tough game to Eagle Pass Winn last night 10-6. The Baseball program would like to thank everyone who participated in the Strike Out Cancer night. The American Cancer Society will receive a nice donation thanks to your generosity.
4/17/19
The Varsity baseball team traveled to San Antonio to take on the Harlan Hawks. The Panthers bounced back with an 11-0 win. Dylan Fillinger led the Panthers with 2 hits, one being a 3 run homerun. Garrett Leggitt, also, added two hits to the Panther offense.
On the mound, Mason Doyon picked up the complete game shut out. Mason gave up 4 hits, struck out four, and walked no one.
