Principal's Note
Hello Ramsey Families!
Happy May! It is hard to believe there is only six weeks left of the school year. Our 8th graders are learning about the transition to High School and registering for classes! The Ramsey counselors will be sharing information with our 6th and 7th graders regarding registering for classes for next year!
As we wrap up this school year and plan for next, we like to take the first week of May to recognize teachers, educators and support staff at Ramsey for all they do! During this coming week, May 2 – May 6, we will be honoring the staff at Ramsey. Encourage your student to join in the appreciation by participating in activities at school (see image). I am hoping you can take time to send a quick note (use the form below if you would like) or drop off a token of appreciation for the staff who are making a difference in your child’s education and social emotional wellbeing!
Finally, I want to thank you for your support and partnership in your child’s education! We appreciate all you do to ensure your child’s academic success!
Sincerely,
Teresa Vibar

8th Grade Finance Park Field Trip Looking for Volunteers
Volunteer/Chaperone Information
We are looking for volunteers to help on an 8th grade field trip on May 25th & 26. Students will only attend one day from 9:45-1:30. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about the trip, please contact Ramsey’s Learning Lead, Mike Krech at michael.krech@spps.org or (651) 744-4887.
What is Finance Park
All 8th graders will have an opportunity to participate in Junior Achievement Finance Park which introduces students to personal finance and career explorations through classroom instruction complemented by a day-long hands-on experience where students apply learned concepts in a life-like community. During this one-day experience, students assume family and income scenarios and visit businesses to gather information for their personal financial decision-making.
Families of 8th-graders, look for permission slips with your student’s specific field trip day listed coming home this week.
