SVT & STEM Academy Newsletter
March 2022
Message from Katie:
Welcome to March!
We have had a busy year already, and March will continue that pattern! Today kicks off the Joya Penny Drive and on Pi Day a few “lucky” staff members will be receiving a face full of pi. Ask your student who they might be putting their spare change toward; feel free to encourage them to choose someone other than me. 😊
Students should be able to see their first progress report grades of second semester. Please have them check those grades and work with their classroom teachers on any questions or concerns they have. By the time we get to spring break we will be halfway through the grading term. We encourage all students to be accessing their teacher to get things made up, caught up, and turned in now. The rest of the year will go quickly! We also have our Tuesday tutoring sessions where students can get help or just have a quiet place to work. All students are welcome to attend!
We are incredibly proud of the many students we will be sending to the SkillsUSA state competition at the start of April. These students have worked so hard on their projects, designs, challenges, and presentations. They are a positive representation of the great work happening at SVT. Spring sports are also starting this week and we wish all of our SVT student athletes the best of luck this season!
We look forward to a great month as we countdown to spring break! Hopefully the sun is going to join us in that journey!
All the best,
Katie Louie
