Crawford's Festive Greetings
Head of School Autumn Newsletter 2
Time flies when you're in the place you're meant to be!
"Tis NEARLY the season to be Jolly." I admit it's rather early to be sending Festive Greetings to all, however, in keeping with the times, already it seems, we are gearing up for the festive season.
I don't know anyone who doesn't love the magic and spirit of Christmas; from celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ to picking the most luscious tree; putting up lights (adequate enough for an airport runway); wearing a garishly bright jumper; watching the classics of 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' (not to mention giggling to 'Jingle All the Way' and mesmerising over 'The Polar Express'); the chance of snow; Santa; hot chocolate; presents; stockings; snuggling; mistletoe; carols; gingerbread men; giving; family and friends and (breath) feeling like a child again! So to those who don't subscribe...I am afraid it's Bah Humbug!
So, watch this space and prepare for an assortment of Christmas, Autumn Term 1 achievements and plenty of cheer!
Autumn 1 - The Magic of New Beginnings
In my last newsletter I proposed to: 'trust in the magic of new beginnings'; I am delighted to say that whilst there have been a few "Oops" there have been absolutely no: 'What ifs.' The first term seems to have absolutely flown by and I can only attribute it to being in the place I'm meant to be.
All the children have settled well and they are beginning to develop a thirst for learning. Already, Class 2 & 3 have enjoyed a school trip to Lackford Lakes and despite a few "oops" with transport and A14 issues, the trip was a tremendous success. Most notably, Miss Mitchell commented on how well the children conducted themselves and represented the school. What a great start!
