Juliet
"Love give me strength! And strength shall help afford."
Intro
From Romeo and Juliet I went with the theme "People should think before they act". I choose this theme because there are many parts in Romeo and Juliet when the characters should have thought their actions through.
Explanations
Act 2 Scene 2
Juliet cried out "O Romeo O Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?.... or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and i'll no longer be a Capulet." (pg. 1023, 35-37) In this piece of text Juliet was talking to Romeo. She should have thought before she said this because someone in her family or someone who knows her family could have over heard her and found out she loved a Montague.
Act 4 Scene 1
Friar Lawrence told Juliet, "Take thou this vial...no warmth no breath..." Juliet responded, "Give me, give me!" (pg. 1076, 104-131) Friar Lawrence was talking to Juliet and telling her a way to fix her problem. Juliet should of decided if taking the potion would be the best thing to do before she took it. Since she took the potion that lead to more tragedy and death later on in the story.
Act 5 Scene 3
Juliet said, "Yea, noise? Then i'll be brief, o happy dagger! This is thy sheath; (stabs herself)" (pg. 1097, 182-183). Juliet is talking to herself saying how shes going to kill herself. She should have thought about it before she killed herself because she only killed herself out of sadness which would have eventually gone away.
Theme: Act 2 Scene 2
Juliet speaks, "Thy purpose marriage, send me word to-morrow..." Juliet should of thought before she agreed to marry Romeo. First, there both too young, their parents could find out, their families are feuding, and Juliet was supposed to marry Paris.
