ROOSTER UPDATE
Pleasant Hill Elementary School
PHES Crowing Corner
On behalf of myself and my family, I'd like to thank everyone for their kind and encouraging words as I transitioned to Pleasant Hill Elementary School! I am so very thankful to be part of the Pleasant Hill school community! I would especially like to thank Ms. Heidi Mackey, for her help, guidance, and support through this leadership transition. Ms. Mackey has left a very special legacy at PHES for many years to come! As you already know, PHES has an AMAZING STAFF!!! I feel very grateful to be working alongside each of them! Together, the PHES Staff and I are looking forward to a FANTASTIC school year!
The Rooster Update will be the weekly Friday communication to staff and families in the Pleasant Hill Elementary School community! Anyone is able to subscribe to the newsletter, simply forward the email to family members and friends and they can "subscribe" to the AMAZING happenings occurring at PHES! I look forward to meeting the students and working with you and your family at Pleasant Hill Elementary School!

Ready to serve Pleasant Hill Elementary School through the shared values of:
Professionalism, Commitment, Empathy, Collaboration, & Appreciation
Getting to Know Mrs. Taylor
The 2019-20 school calendar marks my 16th year in education! I grew up in the small and wonderful community of Tipton, Missouri. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with my undergrad, my Masters in School Leadership at Baker University, and completed my Education Specialist degree from the University of Central Missouri. Prior to administration, I enjoyed my time teaching Art (K-5), 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade. Most recently, I served six years in the Lee's Summit R-7 School District, as an Assistant Principal. During my time as an Assistant Principal, I collaborated with school and district staff to prepare each and every student for success in life! My husband, Shane, and I live in Lee's Summit with our two daughters. Aven Grace, our oldest, will start third grade this fall and Hollis Kate is four years old. Just like with our own children, as we see your child/children walk through our halls, we are reminded that “time truly does fly by” and they grow up WAY too fast! Enjoy all the little moments!
As a leader, you can expect me to be...
- Compassionate, energetic, innovative, and positive!
- Committed to individual student growth, through collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Dedicated to building and maintaining trusting relationships with our entire school family.
