Message from Mrs. Williams
This week's Ranger Ready skill is attention to detail. Attention to detail is like the glue that holds everything together—it ensures that tasks are completed thoroughly and accurately, leading to success in both academic endeavors and everyday activities. As partners in your child's education, here are some practical ways you can help reinforce attention to detail at home:
Encourage Active Listening: Teach your child the importance of active listening by modeling attentive behavior during conversations. Encourage them to listen carefully to instructions, requests, and explanations, ensuring they grasp all the details.
Practice Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness activities with your child to help them develop focus and attention. Activities such as deep breathing, guided meditation, or mindful coloring can enhance their ability to notice details in their surroundings.
Model Organization: Demonstrate the importance of organization by keeping your home environment tidy and organized. Encourage your child to maintain order in their belongings, such as keeping their backpack, desk, and room neat and clutter-free.
Promote Critical Thinking: Encourage your child to think critically and analyze information carefully. Encourage them to ask questions, seek clarification when needed, and evaluate the validity of information before drawing conclusions.
Provide Opportunities for Creativity: Engage your child in creative activities that require attention to detail, such as drawing, painting, or crafting. These activities not only foster artistic expression but also develop fine motor skills and attention to detail.
Celebrate Achievements: Recognize and celebrate instances when your child demonstrates attention to detail in their work or activities. Positive reinforcement reinforces the importance of thoroughness and accuracy.
Set Expectations: Establish clear expectations for attention to detail in tasks and assignments. Emphasize the importance of double-checking work for errors, following instructions carefully, and taking pride in producing high-quality work.
By incorporating these practices into your daily routines at home, you can help cultivate attention to detail in your child, laying the foundation for success in all aspects of their lives.
Thank you,
Cassie Williams

🤖Robotics, on the road to state!🤖
On Saturday, four teams of CCI students competed at William Tell Elementary. Pairs of students had one minute to drive with another school forming an alliance and tried to score as many points as possible. Students also showed off their solo driving and coding skills.
One student helped another team solve the problem of a broken joystick demonstrating great sportsmanship and collaboration.
Two teams made it to the finals. Team A walked away with the elementary Design Award, and team D was awarded the elementary Excellence Award. Team D advances to the state tournament at Lucas Oil Stadium where 150 teams will compete on March 23rd.
All teams will continue to work in preparation of their last competition where they can improve their skills score in hopes of making it to the state tournament.
