St. Patrick Catholic School
Principal's Weekly Newsletter
September 1, 2022
Each year St. Patrick students are provided with enrichment activities after school. This is a great way for our students to expand their experiences and hobbies. Currently, we have staff members who will be providing some activities this fall. However, we are always looking for others to provide enrichment activities for our students. If you have interest or passion you would like to share with our students please let us know or add your name in the Fall Volunteer Signup. In the past we have had volunteers teach knitting, French, card games, guitar, and many other topics.
St. Patrick School is a Lighthouse School for Leader in Me. Each year our students fill out applications for leadership jobs within our school. After they fill out their applications, the 3rd - 8th grade students are then interviewed by a parent or volunteer. The individual conducting the interview then provides feedback on each of the students. This feedback is then shared with the Leader in Me Lighthouse action team to assign students to leadership positions. This year we will be conducting interviews during the day on Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9. If anyone is interested in volunteering an hour or more on one of these days to help with student interviews, please contact us. K-2 students are interviewed by teachers, because we want all students to have this valuable experience.

We continue to go green and send home fewer paper forms. Thank you for using the links below and reading this newsletter every week.
Don't forget we order Scrip cards every two or three weeks. Using the Raise Right app allows downloading of many e-gift cards.
Faith
Our new school t-shirts say it all! Established in Faith! Make sure to let us know your sizes.
Excellence
Students are enjoying many new titles in our school library. We ask that students always have a book on hand–from the library or home–to read during free reading time or when they finish their assignments.
Service
Leader in Me school-wide job applications went home with students this week and are due Tuesday, Sept. 6. All students should return the application so they may be considered for roles they would enjoy serving in. We try really hard to give them one of their choices. Make sure to sign your child's form.
