Garden Saturday April 21st
It's planting day in the Butterfly Garden this Saturday, April 21st from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. Help us celebrate Earth Day by adding some color and food sources for our butterflies and caterpillars. Everyone is welcome!
Earth Day Recyclable Sculpture Contest April 26th
Does your child love art? Do they you love helping our environment? If so, combine the two together and participate in Oakview's annual Earth Day Recyclable Sculpture Contest! It's simple: build any type of sculpture - a car, a building, a face, a monster - using recycled or reusable materials like old newspapers, used soda bottles, tin foil. or bottle caps. Then, add your child's name and teacher's name and bring the sculpture to the media center on Thursday, April 26 by 8:00am. There will be prizes for 1st-3rd place - one set for Kindergarten-2nd grade, and one set for 3rd-5th grade. Have some fun and be creative all while helping our planet stay healthy!
