Raphael in Rome

Raphael did many of his paintings in Rome and he stayed there so he could paint.

Raphael

Raphael was a painter, sculpture, architect, and a talented artist. Raphael was born in 1483 in Italy. Raphael was a good painter and he painted a lot of famous paintings . Many people admired his art work and liked it .


In 1514, Pope II, Joulous II hired Raphael to be a chief architect. In 1520, Raphael died shortly after he had retired . In around the same time he was finishing his last piece of art in his series of Madonas an oil painting called the Sistine Madona.

Raphael was one of the best artists on the world that people new about and he also did paintings that made him rich and famouse in Rome.

Raphael is the best known for his Madonnas in the Vatican and he did many more in Rome at the time.He also made some of his paintings about epic battles. Raphael painted oil paintings that were admired by a ton of people every were and in Rome and thats why he stayed in Rome for so long.
