Friendsville Newsletter

Mayor's Message
Greetings, everyone!
It brings me immense joy to witness the revival of our town's cherished newsletter. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to our Administrative Assistant, Wanda Guard, for breathing new life into this publication after nearly nineteen years of absence. Our little town is bustling with remarkable developments, and I am truly grateful for the collective efforts of our residents in beautifying and enhancing their homes and properties. Through this united endeavor, we are showcasing the unparalleled charm of the place we proudly call home.
I am delighted to announce that we have been fortunate enough to secure several grants that will contribute significantly to the realization of numerous projects in our community. However, due to our town's size, we do not have our own police department. In case you notice anything suspicious, please do not hesitate to contact the Garrett County Sheriff's Department at 301.334.1911 or the Maryland State Police at 301.387.1101. Your vigilance and cooperation ensure the safety and well-being of our beloved Friendsville.
A warm welcome is extended to those who have recently acquired property in our town and now proudly call Friendsville their home. As you enter our town, you may have noticed our signs that read, "Welcome to Friendsville, Come Visit - Come Stay." We are thrilled that you chose to visit, and now you have the opportunity to share with your friends why you decided to settle in the friendliest little town in Maryland - Friendsville.
Sincerely,
Spencer R. Schlosnagle
Mayor of Friendsville
Attention, Community Members!
We have some exciting news to share with you all! We are pleased to announce the installation of an after-hours drop box at our Town Hall, exclusively for your convenience!
Located at the main entrance of Town Hall, this drop box is here to make your life easier. Now, you can submit important documents, forms, or any other materials at a time that suits you best, even outside of our regular business hours!
Here are a few guidelines to ensure a smooth experience when using the after-hours drop box:
- Please make sure all materials are securely enclosed in a sealed envelope or container to protect them during the drop-off process.
- Clearly label the envelope with your name, contact information, and the purpose of your submission. This helps us ensure your items reach the right place promptly.
- If you have multiple items, kindly bundle them together in a single package to avoid any misplacement or confusion.
Please note: The drop box is designed for non-emergency matters only. Rest assured we will handle the contents of the drop box with the utmost care and confidentiality. We will collect your submissions promptly during our regular business hours.
We hope that this new service will make engaging with our Town Hall more convenient for all of you. Your active participation in our community is highly appreciated, and we're committed to keeping our lines of communication open!
