MARC Presentations

The Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center (MARC) will present to middle and high school students on Wednesday, March 1st, to raise students’ awareness of the impact of digital technology on social relationships and positive and proactive ways they can have healthy friendships and a positive school climate.

World of Difference

Twenty-four CMHS students participated in ADL's A World of Difference Peer Training Program. The Peer Training Program provided these students the opportunity to understand and challenge bias and bullying; learn and practice anti-bias facilitation skills; and take on a leadership role in our school to build understanding, respect and equity among members of our school community.

Our World of Difference High School Peer Leaders will begin facilitating bi-weekly lessons about diversity, anti-bullying, and kindness to the 6th-grade students during Academic Workshop beginning March 8th.

Seventh and Ninth Grade: Students will participate in the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment Program (SBIRT) beginning in March. Please read the attached letter for more information.

Juniors: We will be hosting the SAT on April 12th for interested juniors. The registration deadline is March 8th.

Juniors and Seniors: Southeastern Technical Institute will visit CMHS on March 14th during the WIN! Block. Juniors and seniors interested in entering and learning about a trade program are encouraged to attend.

Seniors: Scholarship applications are currently available for seniors. Applications can be found on the school's website or by visiting the high school guidance office.

Our next PTO Meeting is Monday, March 6th at 6:00 in the CMHS Main Office Conference Room.

This month we will begin making plans to support the May 5th Promenade and celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week.

New members are always welcome! We appreciate your support of our PTO-sponsored events and hope to you can join us!

● Staff is listed alphabetically – for easy navigation you can use CTRL “F” to search

for a specific name.

● Becoming a member is recommended as it will give you access to see and

change your appointments. Your information will also be saved for future school

● For your reference, a complete list of teacher room numbers and their

voicemails are on the website.

We strongly encourage parents/guardians to make appointments with one or all of the individual student’s teachers, the student’s guidance counselor, and/or the assistant principal or principal. This is a good opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school. You may simply want to connect with your student’s teacher to gain insight into

the school day. You may want to address a concern or want to celebrate an achievement in a particular subject area. Please take advantage of this time to have some quiet conversation with our faculty and staff.

MCAS Testing season begins this month with our 10th Graders. The 10th Grade ELA MCAS Exam will be administered on Tuesday, March 28th and Wednesday, March 29th. Please ensure your student brings a fully charged Chromebook to school on all testing dates.
