CHS TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Ms. Amy Komitzky Henning for being named Chandler High School’s 2018 Teacher of the Year! Ms. Komitzky has been an educator for 24 years and currently teaches English and the Senior AVID Elective and leads a number of school committees. An AVID Senior stated, “Ms. Komitzky works with each individual student to become successful and thrive in life.” As part of another nomination, a teacher wrote, “Ms. Komitzy is the teacher who, at graduation, gave her own shoes to a student who was struggling because she chose the wrong heels to walk in… she’s dedicated her heart, her soul, her life to our precious students.” Her impact is great, and CHS is proud to nominate Ms. Amy Komitzky for Arizona Teacher of the Year.
