Calling all Carnival Volunteers!

The Deerfield Carnival is back! It is scheduled for Saturday, April 29. If you are interested in planning and/or volunteering, please email ksdeerfieldpto@gmail.com

PTO Officer Elections Slated for April Meeting

Deerfield PTO will have three of its four officer positions open for the 2023-2024 school year. Elections will be held at the April 11 meeting. Below are the positions we will elect for a two-year term:

Vice President: Assist President in their duties, as needed. Will hold meetings if the President is absent. Coordinates Deerfield t-shirt sales.

Treasurer: Drafts the yearly budget. Is responsible for distributing reimbursement payments for class parties, as well as payments for conference meals and other PTO expenses. Provides a monthly accounting of expenses compared to the annual budget. Makes all deposits for fundraising.

Secretary: Prepares an agenda and attendance sheet for each PTO meeting. Attends all PTO meetings and takes meeting minutes. Sends meeting minutes to the Deerfield administrative staff to post on the school website. Collects information from PTO committees and sends out the monthly Deerfield PTO newsletter. Uses Facebook and the Remind app to send out reminders to families about upcoming events.

In addition to the above elected positions, PTO is still looking for family volunteers to bring back Marathon Club! Marathon Club has traditionally been held after school on Wednesdays. PTO is open to exploring other after school time slots, as needed, to work with the volunteers’ schedules. If you are interested, please email ksdeerfieldpto@gmail.com

Deerfield Plays at LGA…Again!

The kids had so much fun, we're doing it again!

Join your classmates for some fun at Lawrence Gymnastics & Athletics!

2nd/3rd Grade – Sunday, 2/26 from 5:00-6:30 pm

4th/5th Grade – Sunday, 2/26 from 6:30-8:00 pm

K/1st Grade – Sunday, 3/5 from 5:00-6:30 pm

$10/child, PTO will receive 50% back.

Space is limited per LGA's safety guidelines. Your child MUST be signed up in order to attend.

Play time is for Deerfield students only. We kindly ask that you do not sign-up friends or younger/older siblings to ensure all students who wish to attend are able.

Parents are welcome to stay, but not required. Parents must sign waiver and make payment inside at drop off.
