School District 622
Dear 622 Families,
I would like you to be aware of a concerning trend that has turned up in local schools. A recent challenge on the social media platform TikTok encourages students to film themselves stealing or destroying school property.
Schools across the country are reporting an increase in this behavior. In 622, we are also experiencing cases of theft and vandalism of school property.
In 622, we are committed to ensuring a safe environment for all. Theft and vandalism have serious consequences that can include financial restitution, suspension/expulsion from school, and potential police referrals.
District 622 has an anonymous tip line for reporting any concerns. This tip line can also be accessed through our School District 622 mobile app. Please talk with your child about this trend. If your child sees or hears anything, please have them report it to a trusted adult or through our anonymous tip line.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our schools and students safe.
Warm Regards,
Christine Tucci Osorio
Superintendent
