Empowering Leaders Everyday
We are geared up and ready to start our Spring Semester here at the Academy of Leadership and Technology at Mound. Our students will be working hard in the next few weeks on middle of year assessments for MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) and also working on their Leadership Day projects. Our school-wide Leadership Day event is on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 9am-12pm. We will be sending more information about the events of the morning as we get closer. We are hoping that you are planning to come and see the exciting things that our students will be presenting during this time. It will be something that you won't want to miss!
I am excited about the great work our students are doing and the way they are growing academically in addition to building their leadership skills.

Arrival and Dismissal Reminders...
- Be proactive and make sure your student is here on time everyday so they can start their day off right. The tardy bell rings at 7:45am. Please prepare for traffic and leave your home earlier to alleviate the chance of not being tardy. Thank you for your help with this.
- If you arrive after 7:45am, a parent must walk-in with the student to sign them in at the front office.
- Please make sure that when there are dismissal changes, you notify the front office immediately and before 2pm. This pertains to all students and all transportation methods. If your child rides a day care van, it is important to also contact the day care with the changes.
- When your student signs out early, this counts against their attendance and they are missing instruction.
- If your Student is Picked up @ the Door @ Dismissal: The name for this pick up is NOW called Parent Walk-Up. This dismissal is for parents/families that are walking from their home to pick up their child. If you drive a car to dismissal, we ask that you pick up your child in the drive through lane (K-1 and Older Siblings of K-1 in the front and 2-5 is picked up in the back.) We appreciate you following our dismissal procedures.
- Please communicate with your child how they are going home on a daily basis. This helps reduce confusion. We want our students to be safe at all times.
