Nuclear Fusion
5/9/16
Introduction
Hello my name is Kevin Duong and I've been trying to find out how Nuclear Fusion can produce electricity. It took years of hard work and sleepless nights, but I was able to figure it out. Nuclear Fusion is when two light nuclei join together (fuse) to form a heavier nucleus, and in doing so release considerable energy. I've figured out how to engineer processes that are able to reach higher temperatures that are needed to get energy from nuclear fusion.
Nuclear Fusion vs Nuclear Fission
Both are nuclear processes by which atoms are altered to create energy. However, fission is the division of one atom into two, and fusion is the combination of two lighter atoms into a larger one.
Safety
- Produces a lot of neutron radiation
- We need to deal with the direct effects of the flux on our people, equipment and electronics
Cost
With this discovery the price for electricity will decrease dramatically, allowing for more people to have access to electricity. Also the amount of electricity produced would increase dramatically increase allowing energy markets to not be under constant threat.
