Navigation Acts
The Navaigation Acts started in 1650. these acts were created by the King of England so they could the enforce mercantilism in the colonies. These acts were put in the colonies.
The Proclomation of 1763
This Proclomation was made in 1763. This was made so the colonists wouldn't go west of the Appalachian mountains because the king didn't want to pay money for another war with the Natvie Americans. Many colonists disregarded the law.
The Stamp Act
The King created the Stamp Act so that he could get money to pay off the debt of the French and Indian war. This law put taxes on stamps or seals for paper products. The Committee of Correspondence boycotted the laws by not buying any seals or stamps, while The Sons of Liberty also protested.
Quartering Act
This act was caused by the colonists protesting the Stamp Act. The Quartering Act forced the colonists to House, clothe, and feed British soldiers. The colonists hated the blank search warrants that the British soldiers got and they also hated how costly the soldiers were to house.
Townsend Acts
The Townsend acts were another set of acts that taxed goods suck as tea, glass, paper, and other items. Instead of buying cloth the Daughters of Liberty made their own cloth instead if buying British cloth. The king repealed the acts but, there was still tax on tea. The Sons of Liberty used violence against the tax collectors.

Colonists were being rude to British soldiers on March 5,1770 and the soldiers retaliated and killed 5 colonists. Sam Adams made propaganda to influence public opinion while John Adams represented the Britsh soldiers in court.
Tea Act and Boston Tea Party
The British let the BEIK company be the only company to sell to the colonies. The prices of the tea were better but,the colonists did not want to pay the taxes on the tea. The Sons of Liberty got mad so they dumped 342 crates of tea into the Boston harbor.
Coercive Act (Intolerable Acts)
These acts were issued by King George III to punish the citizens of Boston for the Boston Tea Party. Here were some new laws the colonists had to follow: no more town meetings, no trading between Britain and Boston, Britain got control of the entire colony, and finally Britain enforced the Quartering Act more harshly. All of these combined made the colonists very angry.
American Revolution Summary
Te American Revolution was the time period when the colonies declared their independence from Britain.
