2nd Graders Consider What Service is Missing in Northville
After taking a walk through our village, students in Mrs. Pratt and Mrs. Clapper's classes needed to determine what business/service is missing in Northville. They brainstormed, and both 2nd grade classes had different end results. Mrs Pratt's class looked into bringing the old Northville Hotel back and enjoyed a visit from Northville Historian Gayle Cramer. Mrs. Clapper's class considered a fitness/health center and both worked with Mayor John Spaeth in the process.

6th Grade ELA Students Consider ReIntroducing the Wolf to the Adirondack State Park
6th Grade Home and Careers Students use Empathy and Compassion to Make a Positive Difference In their Community
Home and Careers students worked in groups to create a plan of action and execute a service project that would benefit their community. Students were required to get permission from various people within the community, create flyers to spread the word, and encourage others to help. Some examples of the service projects were a middle school dance fundraiser for the Pink Chicken Senior Center, a bake sale for Unicef, a middle school basketball tournament for Ronald McDonald House, among others.
