Dear Lincoln, Logan & McPherson County 4-H Families,
It's my favorite time of year! Summer is full of possibilities. Take advantage of time outside of school to try something new. We still have spots available for summer workshops. I encourage you to check it out! Invite a friend. :)
4-H deadlines will creep up fast! Enrollments, YQCA certificates and livestock affidavits are all due June 15th. It is okay to get this done ahead of time! We look forward to seeing you in the office. :)
Be on the lookout for a clean-up day at the fairgrounds in Mid-June. We would love for you to join us and take pride in making our facilities look fair ready!

7th Annual Agronomy Field Day
Open state wide to ALL youth ages 9-18 as of 1/1/23. Parents and adults are welcome! Free event with lunch provided by Ag Valley Coop.
Learn how agriculture is changing with precision technology; benefits of cover crops; how to tell if soil is healthy; explore plant growth; understand importance of weeds & herbicide application; how to scout crops for insects; & fly a miniature drone!

Weβre so excited to announce Adventure Together, the new Nebraska 4-H Camp series for 2023! Registration information will be coming soon. In the meantime, mark your calendars: Chadron β June 5-9; Cozad β June 16-20; Ashland β June 26-29; Burwell β July 16-20; Louisville β July 27-30.

Youth Leadership Conference
The Nebraska 4-H Youth Leadership Conference is an opportunity for all youth ages 14-18 to build connections with peers from across the state, learn from adult mentors, and develop and practice leadership skills. Youth do not need to be enrolled in 4-H to attend this conference.
4-H Shooting Sports National Championship
The 2023 4-H Shooting Sports National Championship is being held in Grand Island from June 25-30. They also need volunteers if you are wanting to help out with this event, you can complete the interest form and they will send out volunteer assignments on May 30!

1. Participants may exhibit in only one level of leather
working, basic, intermediate, or advanced. In
addition, exhibitor may enter in the Leather Garments class.
2. One entry per class.
3. Exhibit must be a complete article made of genuine
leather (excluding fasteners, frames, lining, or
other inserts) created by the exhibitor. Kits are allowed.
4. Each entry will be judged based on the requirements
and level of craftsmanship respective to the
class the entry is exhibited under.
(Do not enter tanned hides in this class)
