🍀HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!🍀
Happy St. Patty's Day Siegrist Family!!
We wish you all the best this Spring Break. May this break bring you an opportunity to relax, recharge and reconnect as a family. This week we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day had High Five Friday other events highlighted below. We sent our Siegrist Archery Team off to State and wished them well during their competition this Saturday.
We will miss our Siegrist Leaders, but look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, March 27th.
Best,
Mrs. Johna-Kaye
Siegrist Archery Team will be competing at the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) State Tournament in Branson, Missouri, this Saturday, March 18. Our students and staff gave them a high five send off on Thursday. Good Luck!
Dr. Bonsignore, Mr. Callahan, Mr. Bailey and Ms. Fisher from the high school and middle school fine arts department gave our fifth grade students an opportunity to explore instrument options for music electives in middle school for next year.
I just wanted to share our AMAZING experience with you. Last night the special olympics team attended an event at the Municipal Auditorium. The final four teams in the NAIA championship put on an amazing basketball event. We had the honor of working with Georgetown and Indiana Tech. The genuine smiles of our kids brought tears to everyone's eyes. I wish you could've seen it.
Sincerely,
Coach Thompson

MARCH 31, 2023 - LAST DAY TO ORDER A 2022-2023 YEARBOOK
Don't miss out on your chance to order a Siegrist Yearbook! You must pre-order before March 31 if you want your child to have 72 pages of FUN memories from the school year. Simply send in cash $25 or a check made payable to PCR-3 in an envelope with your child's name and teacher's name on it. The student yearbook team promises you won't be disappointed, they have been working hard to capture everyone and everything this year.
Book Blast Launch is March 29!
Our voyage starts on March 29 when we’ll cast off in search of Book Blast treasure. Once your child receives their Treasure Map the week after spring break, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to complete it so your child will have a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and even an Apple iPad! But even better, they will be starting their journey to earning all 10 books on the Treasure Map book list. Your contributions to our Book Blast event last year gave each child two books to take home. The more contributions a child had, the more books they received. Our goal is to try and help students build on their home libraries. Heave ho, let’s go readers!
📅Make Up Day Plans
With our inclement weather days on February 9 and February 16, and no school on February 15 to celebrate the Chiefs Super Bowl parade, our current make up day plans are as follows:
- February 9 Inclement Weather Day - Will be made up on Friday, April 7
- February 15 No School Day - Will be made up on Thursday, May 25
- February 16 Inclement Weather Day - Will be made up on Friday, May 26, a 3-hour early release
PLEASE NOTE: As we have shared that PCR-3 will implement traditional inclement weather days (no school and no virtual learning), until we reach a threshold that would push the school year past Memorial Day, any future inclement weather days will become Inclement Weather Virtual Learning Days.

MAP dates for Siegrist Elementary
Siegrist has set their Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) dates (these are the state assessments), please plan to have your student/child here on the dates below when his/her grade level is testing. Grades 3rd - 5th take MAP assessments. Testing will occur in the morning. If a student misses a day or arrives when testing has already begun, Dr. Mann, or another trained proctor, will administer the test to your student/child in the afternoon or on another day. All MAP testing must be completed by Map 19.
Thank you in advance, for trying to schedule around MAP testing dates.
Siegrist Attendance Soars!
Student attendance for 3/2/23 was 97% !! WhoooHooo Highest day since the first two days of school.
Our Siegrist monthly attendance average has consistently exceeded the district goal of 90% or higher every month, during the 22-23 school year, with the exception of November. THANK YOU parents for helping your child achieve by being at school. Although only three months of the school year remain, there’s still LOTS to be taught/learned, state assessments, celebrations, and continuation of looking at universal assessment data. Please keep your child’s attendance HIGH.
Here are ways to help your child be school ready:
Set a regular bedtime routine
Develop a morning routine
Pack backpacks the night before
Encourage your child to be at school
Plan appointments after school, when possible
