WSSD Virtual School
November 5th Update
Happy November!
While conferences are coming up in the District for K-8 students, it will not work the same at the Virtual School. In other words, they don't have a specific conference schedule. You are definitely encouraged to set something up and get an overview of where your child is in the program. Although I try and provide regular updates and you can see everything in your family dashboard, it can be very helpful to get the perspective of the teacher(s) and to understand the degree to which your child may be off-pace. All you need to do is email the teacher and make a request.
What's Around the Corner?
Veterans Day
Geography Awareness Week
Thanksgiving
The last Thursday of November was set as the official day to celebrate Thanksgiving in 1941. Although pausing to reflect and give thanks is important, there has been significant work in recent years to debunk myths and accurately portray the past while also broadening the perspectives from which we view the holiday.
