WSSD Virtual School

November 5th Update

Happy November!

I hope your child/children enjoyed having Election Day off this week. For those who continued to work, it was also a good time to catch up on some things. High school students are in the final stretch of the first marking period and registered to take exams before the start of the new marking period, which begins November 15th.

While conferences are coming up in the District for K-8 students, it will not work the same at the Virtual School. In other words, they don't have a specific conference schedule. You are definitely encouraged to set something up and get an overview of where your child is in the program. Although I try and provide regular updates and you can see everything in your family dashboard, it can be very helpful to get the perspective of the teacher(s) and to understand the degree to which your child may be off-pace. All you need to do is email the teacher and make a request.
