Dear Nighthawk Families -

This is my 20th year in education and truly, truly the best one I have ever had. It was awe-inspiring to feel the energy and excitement of the first day. It was so great to have students back in the building. Your children were absolutely wonderful, engaged and very kind.

Thank you to all of our wonderful parents and staff for a successful first driveline. I appreciate your patience. We will continue to improve our process to ensure that your child is to you as safe and efficient as possible. Just a couple of reminders to help us out:

  1. Please stay off your Cell Phone in Driveline. This is critical!
  2. Please do not enter Driveline approaching from the East in the afternoon. Your child's number will not be put in.
  3. Please do not send others from your vehicle to the West Doors to pick up walkers. This is very dangerous.
  4. Please practice with your child unbuckling and buckling.

Please review the Driveline video and protocols if you have not.

Have a fantastic weekend.

With much love and extreme gratitude,

Mary Baker

Happy Friday Nighthawks,

What a wonderful week we had at the 4-8 Campus! It was amazing the energy and excitement that your students breathed into our campus this week. We have some pretty amazing things planned this year, including NVCS Houses! If you have a chance, please ask your students about this cool, PBIS based initiative! Parents, next week we will have a presentation linked to this newsletter so that you can learn more about this cool new initiative and root for your student's NVCS House!

Congratulations to all of our NVCS athletes who will be representing New Vision in Volleyball, Soccer, and Cross Country. We had a very competative pool of athletes this year and are very excited about the kick off to our sports program.

Big thank you to parents, driveline crews, and students for having great attitudes through the first week of driveline. We went from 45 minutes the first day down to 25 minutes the third day. Our goal is to continue to refine our driveline to make it the most efficient process possible.

Have a great weekend!
