Enrichment Class Information for Parents
Each semester student data is reviewed based on NWEA and Ilearn test scores. These scores are used to determine if students need extra academic support through academic enrichment. If students don’t need extra or additional academic support, they are considered eligible for an arts enrichment. Arts enrichment and academic enrichments happen at the same time during the school day.
If students are eligible for an arts enrichment, they are asked to fill out a ranking form letting us know their top 3 favorite arts enrichment classes. The classes they may choose from are:
Middle School (grades 5-8): Jazz Band, Guitar, Choir, Showchoir, Set Design & Construction, Digital Art, Dance, Color Guard, and Theatre
Elementary (grades 1-4): Band(4th grade only), Violin, Choir, Musical Theatre, Art club, String Art, Dance, Color Guard and Theatre
After students submit their top 3 choices, they are sent to audition for these classes. Auditions take about a week. Then the arts teachers decide based on auditions, who will be in each arts enrichment class.
