The house of burgesses was established in 1619, it was the first place to establish laws. Jamestown met there once a year to make laws and have other meetings.

The Virginia House of Burgesses, constructed the America today and our government is based off of it.

How is our government today similar to the Virginia House of Burgesses?

They had a meeting once a year to discuss things, and our government every about 4-8 years pick a new president.

The English Bill of Rights is an English precursor of the U.S Constitution Bill Of Rights. It was established in 1689 to limit the power of the English sovereign, which led to the United States Bill Of Rights

To limit powers, and to stop cruel and unusual punishment.

The Magna Carta was written in 1215 by the group of 13th-century barons to protect there rights, and limit the kings powers. But most of the time the king didn't fallow the rules or he changed the rules.

We the people have our own rights and we have laws to limit the presidents powers.

The Fundamental Order of Connecticut, was the first written constitution in North America, written by Purtian Clergymen. In 1662 they put and had to have gods name in it.
