As we approach the final days of the 2018-2019 school year, I can’t believe how fast the time has passed! It is such a pleasure to be apart of a wonderful school, teaching staff and parents! I am excited for our students moving on to kindergarten in the fall! What a special time for these little ones! May our Lord continue to bless each of you as you begin this next phase of learning. Personally, I am very much looking forward to welcoming our returning students when we begin the 2019-2020 school year in September.

******TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK****** MAY 6-10
Teacher Appreciation– May 6-10 is National TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK. We look forward to recognizing our amazing teachers here at RBS. We are blessed with a wonderful devoted staff that gives 100% everyday. Our dedicated classroom teachers and aides work hard everyday planning meaningful lessons that are designed to capture your child's imagination and strengthen their love for God and for learning.
Our specials teachers are truly amazing , they are one of the things that sets RBS apart. Chapel, music, art, PE, Spanish, sign language, science and coding bring so much to our program. We especially want to remember Ms Anyela, who is the Mary Poppins of the RBS kitchen! We couldn't do it without her!
Show your appreciation for your child’s classroom teacher, take the opportunity to write a personal note or do something extra special that week. And do remember the aides and special teachers-We have a great RBS family that all work together to give your child the best experience possible!
Remember, our Faculty Favorites Book is a handy resource to find out a little more about your child's teacher's favorite things. Our specials teachers are also in the book!
This book is located just outside my office on the middle shelf of the red table.

A note from your AFTER-SCHOOL CARE providers!
Dear Parents,
It has been our pleasure to provide After School Care (ASC) to your children this year. Incredibly, the year is coming to an end and we wanted to let you know how the last few weeks of ASC will look.
First, THERE WILL BE NO ASC THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL, MAY 14-17.
Second, We also do not send invoices for May. ASC will be either ‘pay in advance’ or 'pay at pick up’. Please be prepared to pay with cash each day you pick up your child.
Thank you and have a great summer, Tes Corry, Tracy Truax, Marsha Wise
Chapel Chat -Ms. Chris
We are finishing up our fabulous year with a lesson about the Fruits of the Spirit: kindness, love, joy, peace, patience ,and goodness. Every Bible Story has touched on one or more of these fruits and your children will continue to grow in God’s love by demonstrating fruits of the spirit. Teaching your children has been such a blessing. Our bible verse this month is “Always do good” Galatians 6:10. Have a fruitful summer! Love, Ms. Chris

Hard to believe it is the end of the year! It has been so fun watching your children grow and learn. I have enjoyed all the music they have in their hearts. I hope they have learned to look at and listen to music in new ways. Thank you for sharing and entrusting them to me. We are preparing our concert for you the month of May. Everyone is working very hard to make it a spectacular event for you. I hope to see all of you there. May God bless you all with joy and rest this summer! Thank you!!

It has been such a joy to teach sign language this year to the children. They have all done a wonderful job. I can’t wait for next year. The month of May we will be reviewing what we have learned this year and using those signs and making sentences. I am amazed every week at what the kids remember and who they have showed signs to. Don’t forget to ask your children at home what they have learned so you can learn it too. I hope everyone has an amazing summer.
Sensational Science- Ms. Tracy
Science this month will be all about having fun and enjoying our last two classes together. We’ll be learning about the science of popcorn, then for our last Friday we’ll be eating popcorn (Not the same popcorn!) while we watch Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. These kids have made science so much fun and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each and every student. I hope they'll always have a love of science. Have a fabulous summer!
Coding Kids- Ms Susan
It has been such a joy working with your children and watching them grow using problem solving skills to code their code-a-pillars and Bee Bots. We will close the year programing the Bee Bots on a mat to get to a destination more than one way. I wish everyone a safe and fun summer.
