Principal Message
Ray Community,
Our superhero fun run was a blast today! I loved seeing all of the smiles on the students' faces. I truly enjoyed dancing and running with them; even though they are much faster than I am. While the weather tried to play a role in today's event, we were able to move everything inside and keep the fun going!
This week our teachers participated in instructional rounds. During instructional rounds, grade level teaching teams get to go observe each other in action. This allows for teachers and administration to discuss how we are progressing toward our campus' goals while identifying instructional strategies that are supporting the growth of all learners. During our observations we looked at how our campus is implementing "Purposeful Play, Purposeful Questioning" strategies and "Inquiry Based Learning" in our classrooms. We saw fabulous lessons and in depth questioning occurring at all grade levels.
I want to send a quick reminder that story book character day is on Tuesday, October 31st. We ask that students come to campus dressed as a storybook character. We are asking students to not wear masks during the school day as the masks can become a distraction. We are looking forward to seeing what everyone dresses up as! We hope you can find our office team (hint hint)!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
Alison Pennington
Principal

Watch DOGS
We are looking for amazing dads who would like to volunteer with Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students). Watch DOGS strengthen the relationship between Reagan and our community. The program provides an opportunity for dads to engage in the lives of our students and it increases the presence of positive male role models. Watch Dogs typically volunteer for a full or half day on campus. They spend their time reading with students, helping with lunches, participating in specials, and walking the halls to make sure the building is secure. If you would like to participate, please sign up here.
