Do you believe that consumers such as yourself have the right to know whether or not food has been modified?

Yes, I believe that consumers such as myself have the right to know whether or not food has been modified. We should be able to know exactly what kind of food we are eating and whats in it. By knowing that we should be able to choose if we want to eat the food or not.

What impacts (positive or negative) would releasing this type of information have on the public, economy, etc?

Releasing this type of information would have a positive and negative impact. People would get to know exactly whats inside their food. The negative would be, if people don't want GMO in their food than they wont buy it and less money will be made to companies.

I think that foods that are genetically modified should be labeled. What do you think?

Yes foods that are genetically modified should be labeled. I think that every human being should the right to know what they are eating and be able to choose if they want to eat it or not. Not only that, but citizens should be able to make educated decisions on what to feed their families. Genetically modified foods have a tendency to provoke any allergic reaction. This means that people who are allergic to certain things can eat whatever they're allergic to without even knowing if the food isn't labeled. Also if these products are so great, than why are there no labels. If they were so great, then there wouldn't be a debate on whether or not food should be labeled. While some genetically modified foods can be healthy, but some can also be unhealthy. This is bad for the people who are choosing to have a healthy lifestyle. They'll be thinking that they're eating something healthy and nutritious, but really its the total opposite.
