A Message From Our Principals
As we begin a break for Thanksgiving, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of you. It has been a true joy to spend our days with your children. Thank you for all you do to support our efforts and for sharing your children with us. We are grateful to spend our days with them. May all of you enjoy this week with your family and friends.
-Dr. Gruper and Mrs. Reinhardt
Holiday Share Bear
If you have an opportunity, please stop by and visit our Glacier Ridge Share Bear in our front foyer. Our Share Bear helps support children in need during the holiday season. Take a tag, purchase the item, and return the unwrapped item on or before December 9th.
Band and Choir Concert
Join us Monday, December 5th at 6:30 pm to enjoy the music from the Glacier Ridge band and choir!
We will have a Winter Spirit Week leading up to Winter Break the week of December 12th-16th. Attached here is the schedule for those who like to plan early.
Community Service Club
Joining with the Student Council who is sponsoring the Hat/Mitten Giving Tree this December, the Community Service Club will have two opportunities that allow all our Polar Bears to help support our wonderful community.
On Friday, December 2nd and Friday, December 9th, K - 5 students can stay after school from 3:30 to 5:00 to make things to give back to our community. They will be able to make hats and scarves to add to the Giving Tree as well as creating warm holiday messages for members of our community who don't receive many this time of year. We know how caring our Polar Bears are and we want to provide occasions where they can give their time for others. We hope that some will be able to join us this month! If your child is interested in participating, please fill out the following Google Form.
We continually review our academic and behavioral data to assess progress towards our goals. We are trending in a positive direction on our goals. Individual student progress was shared during Parent Teacher Conferences.

Cold and Winter Weather Preparedness
During these very cold days please be sure your child comes to school dressed with warm clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, etc. Although it might not be warm enough to go outside every day, whenever we can, we do get the children outside for some fresh air. The District policies on cold weather are as follows: 15 degrees or warmer – unlimited time outdoors; 0 – 15 degrees - 20 minutes outdoors; Below 0 - remain indoors
An extra pair of socks to keep in cubbies and lockers is also a great idea for those extra wet snowy days.
Families Communicating Immediate Needs
As we launch the 2022-23 school year, we want to remind families that teachers, staff, and principals prioritize teaching, learning and engaging with students during the school day. They are not expected to monitor their email while school is in session. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for an email response. If your concern is urgent, please contact the school’s main office. Thank you!
