Dmitri Mendeleev
The Russian chemist who developed the Periodic Table
The Periodic Table
Dmitri Mendeleev created and organized the periodic table. This amazing discovery started to come to life when he was writing a book for his students called The Principles of Chemistry. While writing the book he noticed the reoccurring patterns between element groups and their physical and chemical properties. He organized dozens of the known elements at the time by their atomic weight and by doing so he could anticipate what some unknown element's qualities were. In 1869 he presented his discovery of the periodic law to the Russian Chemical Society.
