MOMS Club® of Buckingham North

April 2016 Minutes for Moms

Message from the President

I saw a quote online that said, "My favorite weather is bird chirping weather". Oh how true this is! Spring is here and I couldn't be happier! Warm afternoon breezes, budding trees and colorful flowers blooming everywhere. It's the time of year to open up the windows in the house, dust off the patio furniture, stuff the winter coats back in the closet and crawl out of hibernation. I love going for walks in the neighborhood and seeing neighbors that I haven't seen in months. There's something so refreshing about seeing kids playing outside again and all the leaves, flowers and green grass returning. So, happy spring everyone!! Flip flop season is just around the corner.....

Past Events

This month we were able to get outside and enjoy some activities in the fresh air! We had some park days and our Easter Egg Hunt and craft in the park. Our St. Patrick's Day themed members social was a success and the kids had a lot of fun doing a craft too. We also enjoyed an MNO at the Tap House, and a lunch out with the kids. Fingers crossed next month's weather is sunny and warm so we can enjoy more outside activities!

Baby Shower for CHC!

We are collecting items for our big charity event in April- to help support CHC (Child, Home, Community). If you can attend the event on the 21st (we hope you can!) you can bring your donation(s) that night. If you are unable to come to the event but would like to donate, we will be collecting items from now until April 21st. You can drop them off at Kellie's house.

They said they are most in need of:

Diapers and Wipes
Spring/summer pajamas
New and gently used books (they are doing a reading initiative)

They will take any baby items: crib sheets, pack and play sheets, toys, clothes, bibs, baby products, etc. They also take gently used baby and kids items (up to size 4t). If you have any carseats, pack and plays or any larger items you no longer need and would like to donate, they always love these too! They are such a wonderful organization and they are so appreciative of anything we donate to them.

Thank you!!
