Staff Spotlight! Get to know your LMS Staff!
Verian Wilson, Teacher
Place of Birth: Torrance, CA
Years at Lincoln: This is my 9th year teaching at LMS.
Favorite Educator: One of my favorite teachers was my 10th grade English teacher, Ms. Horn. She inspired me to take pride in my writing. She was kind to all of her students and made everyone feel comfortable.
Fun Fact: I graduated from Lincoln and SAMOHI, and I have taught on both campuses. Amanda McCoy and I graduated from SAMO the same year, and now I have the pleasure of being her daughter’s teacher this school year.
Curtis Jelks, Security
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, CA
Years at Lincoln: 8
Favorite Educator: My favorite teacher/coach is Emillio Espejo (Coach E). He trained and mentored me over 17 years working with youth ages 5 - 18. He taught me how to create a positive environment for staff, students, parents and the community working in schools. He also encouraged me to go back to school, which I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cal State LA in 2021.
Fun Fact: Unfortunately, I'm a Cowboys fan (Lol). I love going to concerts and live sporting events. My favorite music venue is the Hollywood Bowl!

DEIA Committee Meeting
Thank you!
I want to thank all parents who attended Friday's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access Meeting. This week, we had Jose Hernandez from Santa Monica College talk about all the great programs that SMC offers and the importance of accessibility to these programs when students get to the high school level. It was a very informative session.
Spray Bottles
We have seen an increase in students bringing spray water bottles to school and using them to spray others. We would like to inform you that spray bottles are not permitted on campus. If any student is caught with one, it will be confiscated and only parents can retrieve them. Thank you.
