August 26, 2022

Dear Roosevelt Families,

We had a successful first FULL week of school. It was so much fun seeing all of the students and getting to know new names and faces. Everyone loved being back on the playground and having awesome new equipment and turf! It does get hot in the afternoon though, so please keep sending water bottles with your children.

We had two of our required Emergency Drills this week and everyone did great! We practiced our Hall Check on Wednesday and had our first Evacuation/Fire Drill today. Wow, those bells are loud! We are so proud of how well it went; students followed directions and exited the building quickly and quietly. Next week we will practice our Lock Down Drill in class.

Our updated Student/Parent Handbook is now posted on our website and linked below. Please be sure to read and review it with your child over the weekend. A signature page was sent home with all students today. Please sign and return it to your child's teacher next week.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Warm Regards,

Jennifer Combs, Principal
