Chalmers Parent Newsletter
4th Grade Writing STAAR
Parents on Tuesday, April, 9 our 4th grade students will take the Writing STAAR test. This will change the schedule for lunches and classes on Chalmers campus for all grade levels. All classes will be served lunch in their classrooms. Students that are not testing will stay with their homeroom teacher the majority of the day doing various activities. Parents will not be allowed to eat lunch with students on campus this day.
Each student and staff member has been working diligently each day to prepare for this test. We BELIEVE in all of our students. Snacks, water, and mints will be provided to each 4th grade student on testing day. We want each student set up for success. Here are a few tips:
- Be at school on time.
- Eat a good breakfast at home or at school that morning
- Get a good nights rest
- No electronics (cell phones, apple/smart watches, etc.) in any testing room, please have students leave these at home on testing day.
- Please do not check students out prior to 1:00pm.
