Speaking of Research...
One of the ISTE Standards for Students includes, "3 - Research and Information Fluency." This standard includes applying digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information. Common Sense Media offers lesson plans under Scope and Sequence on a variety of topics to prepare students to research. Below are three great lessons.
The Key to Keywords: Which keywords will give you the best results?
Whose Is It, Anyway?: How can I show respect for people's work?
How to Cite a Site?: How do I cite different types of online sources?
Tech Tip
Google Docs Research Tool
Google offers a research tool to use while working in a Google Document. The built in research tool lets you search for the information you need and easily add it to the Google Doc you’re working on without having to leave the page. This research tool also allows you to easily insert citations and links to your document.
