Week at a Glance
This week we will be exploring where are food comes from. We will survey populations to determine where they think our food comes from and how many vegetables an individual eats per day. We will summarize the data we collect and make appropriate graphs, use whole number computations, and compare our data with another third grade class. We will also use vegetables in science to determine which vegetables sink and/or float.

Grading Policy
All students will be given the opportunity for reassessment of all assessments, class assignments, and/or projects. This does not include District Common Assessments or BOY, MOY, EOY Assessments (Benchmarks). This should be completed within the same six week period of which the assignment was given.
Example: The first score of an assignment is a 40 and the score of the second assignment is 80; an accurate report of student mastery would be 80. Students will not be penalized for errors on the first assessment. If the student scores lower on the second assessment, they will receive the higher of the two grades. Homework is meant to get students thinking. Students may be asked to watch a video, answer a critical thinking question, or write a reflection. It could also possibly include make up work from being absent.
