Parent Update
November 23, 2020
Hello Buhrer Families,
Dear CMSD family and friends,
Please be reminded that there is no school for students from Wednesday, November 25- Friday, November 27 in observance of Thanksgiving break. School will resume on Monday, November 30th. We hope all of our students and families have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend.
If you were unable to attend one of the Schoology Parent sessions on Monday, November 23rd, you can watch one of the recorded sessions in our school website. The recorded sessions will be posted on Tuesday, November 24th.
Say Yes Survey:
Buhrer is one of the Say Yes schools in Cleveland, which connects our scholars and families with needed services, such as legal aid, counseling services, community organizations, etc. Parents are asked to fill out a Say Yes survey each year to indicate any needs their child(ren) have. You will need your child's student ID to complete the survey. You can find your child's student ID on their progress report or report card. We will also be emailing student IDs to parents for whom we have an email address. If you are unable to locate your child's student ID number, please contact their homeroom teacher.
Please click here to access the survey. All families are asked to complete the survey for each child attending Buhrer.
Sincerely,
Ms. Sanchez

Kindergarten Readiness is another program offered by the Cleveland Public Library to support our younger children with their education.
Metro Health
The MetroHealth School Health Program is excited to be partnering with our CMSD sites again this academic year. A few updates for the remote start of the academic year and clinic schedule.
- Clinics will be from 9:00 – 4:30, with last appointment starting at 4:00.
- All services will be provided on the mobile unit.
- If mobile unit has maintenance issues, SHP is able to provide clinic services in an assigned space within the school, with approval of school leadership.
- Services offered will be preventive care. No “sick visits” – these will be converted to telehealth.
- Everyone will be screened prior to entering the mobile unit and be required to wear masks.
- All students/families will need to wait outside and maintain social distance. For this reason, students will be given a scheduled appointment time.
If you would like to schedule an appointment for the Metro Bus for your child, please contact our School Nurse, Patricia Breslin at patricia.breslin@clevelandmetroschools.org.
