Upcoming Student Club/Info
Attention All Science Olympiad Members, Here are 4 important things, first, there is no meeting this week. Second, you still need to work on your events! Third, Mrs. Beshures needs to know your Shirt Size and fourth, check the Science Olympiad Google Classroom for updates!
The 8th Grade Semi-Formal will occur on Friday, January 18th right here in the Spry Auditorium. The dance will start at 7:00 and end at 9:00.
Various snacks will be provided during the dance.
Just remember, make sure you are abiding by the dress code at all times. This is a Semi-Formal, so you are required to dress up.
Girls, if you decide to wear a dress, make sure it is not strapless, that it is an appropriate length, and the straps are an appropriate width or that you have a cover-up.
Ticket sales for the Semi-Formal will begin next week during 8th-grade lunches, from Monday, January 14th, through Thursday, January 17th. Tickets cost five dollars per person. You can only buy your own ticket; that means no buying for someone else. Also, purchases after Thursday will not be allowed, so no ticket sales on Friday or at the door.
We hope to see you at the dance!
Attention all Mathcounts participants, if you wish to be considered for our competition team for RIT, you must be present at the next practice. That will be held on Tuesday, January 15th after school for the placement test. If you cannot make it that day, see Mrs. Rich to reschedule a time.

Community Arts Day
Yes it's about that time again when we begin the planning stages for CAD. I hope you've all had a restful holiday !
Below are the representatives for your school that we have assigned currently. If you have a new coordinator for CAD please let me know. CAD reps are responsible for disseminating info about CAD (posters/fliers/e-fliers), collecting entries for the Reflections program, and donations for the sweet treats sale, and promoting the event through school. More information for school reps can be found on our website here - http://www.websterptsa.org/CAD.cfm?subpage=525 and here http://www.websterptsa.org/CAD.cfm?subpage=534
As you may have heard, the Reflections Art competition will not be held this year due to a lack of a coordinator. If you might know of someone interested in this position please contact CentralPTSA@websterptsa.org.
Also, please let us know what cultural arts programs/events the checks you've received in September will support, once you've made that allocation. This information helps us immensely in promoting our event. We would love to have pictures if available.
