End of Year Information
Everyone is extremely happy that we were able to continue in-person learning this school year. The Staff at East Junior High would like to thank our East Community for everything that you have done to make this year successful. With your support, you made a difficult year successful. As this year comes to an end, we are already excited about next year. Please look for some important dates throughout this newsletter as we begin planning for next year. Thank you!
Final Week Schedule
Our District will not have End of Course Exams (EOC’s) again this semester. Teachers will be giving some kind of test or project during the last few days of this semester.
Friday, May 20, Whole School End of Year Award/Celebration Assembly. We have not had a whole school assembly in over two years. We are excited to be able to celebrate the year with all of our students together.
Monday, May 23, 1:15 p.m. early release, we will follow this May 23 Bell Schedule
We will hand out Yearbooks to our 9th graders on this day so they can begin signing them. Ninth graders will have an extended lunch on this day and will not have an 8th period.
The Freshman Farewell will be this afternoon from 4:00 - 6:00. Thank you to the PTO who have been working hard planning this special event.
Tuesday, May 24, 1:15 p.m. early release, we will follow this May 24 Bell Schedule
8th graders will receive their yearbooks so they can begin signing them during their lunch.
Wednesday, May 25, 12:00 p.m. early release, we will follow this May 25 Bell Schedule.

District Policy on Late/Missing Work
Our district policy allows students to turn in late/missing work two weeks prior to the end of the quarter. Wednesday, May 11, is the two-week mark before the end of our 4th Quarter. If you have any questions about late work, please contact your teacher.

The East PTO is raising funds to install a lighted monument sign, fulfill teacher wish lists and pay for field trips. Expenses the district is unable to assist with. The mission of the East PTO is to support East Junior High by providing volunteers and funds needed to enhance the educational experience for all students.

Calling all students, families, teachers, staff, and friends of East! Leave a legacy at East Junior High by purchasing a personalized, commemorative brick to be installed on the front patio of the school! Each brick costs $50 for text-only and $65 for text with your selected clipart. All funds raised will support our students and staff at East. Payment can be made conveniently through the Hornets Webstore or by check. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) helps families connect to the Internet from
home by providing a monthly benefit of up to $30 (up to $75 on qualifying Tribal Lands).
The ACP is a long-term $14 billion program of the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC). The ACP began December 31, 2021, replacing the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a

Timberline Youth Football Clinic
Save the date!! The Timberline football team and coaching staff are hosting a youth football clinic on August 4th! This will be a great opportunity for some of our younger athletes to get to work with and interact with the high school players, coaches and build a sense of community through athletics.
