The Ride to Sky Ranch
The Cabins
Hello! This is Reagan Stevens reporting live from 5th grade. I am here to talk about the cabins. The cabins are 2 stories high, and has a patio to relax on. Inside the cabin is an downstairs for children, and upstairs for the adults. On the first day in sky ranch, You will be assigned a cabin number and you will take your bags to that cabin. When you get to the cabin, you get to pick your bed, and choose someone to sleep with in a bunk bed. You put your bags under the bed and unpack. The cabins have bathrooms, too. The bathrooms have shelves to put your bathroom supplies. Let's talk about the outside of the cabins now. The outside has a little campfire, but I doubt the your cabin will need to use it. On the right side, there is a spiral staircase for the emergency exit door.
Take it away, Sienna!
Rec Time
William reporting here on this brand new topic in Sky Ranch! Rec time!
After learning about interesting things in the ranch, everyone needs some fun in their life! That's where rec time comes in. During this exciting time there is a ton of enjoyable occupations!
Ranging from Newcomb to basket to GaGa ball, we promise you'll love it! And the best part? Air conditioning! Hot outside but don't want to play these games? No worries! We have a pool. In the pool there is water soccer, trapezes into the water, and the water slides. Now, while you guys may be thinking,’Water slides are so, so, plain, why would they have that?’ or something of that nature, but I assure you, it's not what you think. These water slides have steep angles, twists, turns, lots of momentum and a big splash! Not a water person, but still want to become a little tan? We have soccer fields! Not a huge fan of all the running involved in soccer? Well, we got something for you. A small soccer field. And for those of you that do like the running involved in soccer, we have regular fields too. None of these activities sound fun? Well…… We have milkshakes….? Whatever! Luke, back to you.
Lunch and Snacks
Native Americans
Key: NA = Native Americans
Luke reporting on the marvelous Monday about Sky Ranch! Today I will be reporting about Native Americans. When you go to the NA class you will go through a time portal. The time portal with teleport you to the past. Beware, there will be a bear waiting to jump out and get you. When you start the classes you will learn about all of the tools that you would use if you were in that tribe. La Saw will ask you to observe the two types of the houses and after that you will get to grind dried La Saw corn. But the most fun part of this class is learning to shoot a bow and arrow even though you might already know how to shoot one.
Campfire
Hi! It's Sienna from 5th grade. You may not know me but I'm going to tell you about Sky Ranch!
Sky Ranch is hands on fun and is really really really really really really really really really really super duper FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Opinion). Campfire is mostly the favorite of all time. What you get to do is your cabin will come up with a two minute skit and perform it in front of the grade at the Campfire. So the first thing you do is the camp counselor will just talk about the campfire and then will come up with a fake story that may be true and in the middle of the story and ask you a question and reply in a cabin number that is yours or somebody else's cabin number. Then they will perform their skit! One for the most important thing to bring from your cabin is your flashlight because the front row is we're the flashlights will go because it will be dark and you will not be able to see the stage so the flashlights are going to shine on the stage. Campfire is a time to just have fun and be creative! I hope you have a great time at Sky Ranch!
