Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we explored Butterflies! We learned about their life cycle, how they compare to moths and how the monarch butterfly flies to Mexico! We also demonstrated what it would be like to be like to be a butterfly by hiding from predators, eating only from a straw and sleeping with our wings open.
We also had a unique presentation from STEM Connect about wind power engineering. The kids were able to meet an Engineering Professor from UCF and ask questions via a webinar. This was fun experience for the student being able to ask questions and learn through a webinar.
First Grade
This week Mrs. Beckman’s class began a book study on the chapter book “Monster In The Mangroves”. In math we began a new unit on 2D shapes. Have a super weekend!
Ms. Molnar’s class talked about cause and effect and story structure this week in class. We finished up our measurement and date chapter and rocked our chapter test! We are getting excited for field day!
