March has been a very exciting month. We have had March Mammal Madness, Math March-ness, the spring musical, a special visit for eighth graders, and much more.
Take a look at some of the notes and photos below.
OMS Drama Club Shines in the Wizard of Oz
The OMS Drama Club went over the rainbow this year with three outstanding performances of The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition.
All three performances took place at the Stoughton High School auditorium. The cast and crew worked so hard all year, and the result was a show that was a delight to the large crowds attending all the performances.
It was hard to tell if it was Pearl Street or Broadway!
Great work Drama Club!
All Rise for the Judge!
8th grade students were treated to a special guest speaker on March 22nd. Judge Thomas S. Kaplanes, Associate Justice of the Boston Municipal Court, talked about his role as a judge on the court and about how local government works. Judge Kaplanes also talked about his personal journey from middle school to his current position.
8th graders learn all about US Government and Civics in their social studies classes, including at the state and local level. Judge Kaplanes was a great example of bringing this learning to life...robe and all right in the OMS cafetorium.
Thanks to Judge Kaplanes for a wonderful experience!
